Fall 2009 - Paul and co-writer PT Houston continue to write and produce songs via a co-publishing deal with an highly regarded, independent Nashville based music publisher. This co-publishing agreement places Houston and Paul's material in the hands of a top Nashville song plugger, ensuring that the duo's material is represented to the greatest degree possible.

The duo's 2009 recorded output is currently being readied for a year end publishing compilation tentatively titled, "Nashville Handshake : The Songs of PT Houston & Paul Stephens". This complilation CD is slated to include 21 songs written and recorded by the duo in 2009 and will be used to pitch the catalog of songs. Paul and PT Houston are currently wrapping up 2009 with a new batch of six songs currently in production and slated for completion in 2009.

Also, a Broward - Stephens co-write titled "Southern Girl" is included on the new Shawn Allen CD.

**Year End Recap 2008**

Paul’s latest CD "Windshield Memoirs" was released in June and nominated by the Independent Music Awards (IMA) as a finalist for Country Album 2009. The track "Small Packages" will be included on the IMA WInners Compilation and serviced to radio and press outlets worldwide. Thanks to everyone involved in supporting the CD. The release was produced and mixed by P.T. Houston in Nashville with mastering completed at Ardent - Memphis with the legendary Larry Nix and Kevin Nix. All of Paul's previous releases are available at CDBaby.com as well as on Itunes and many other on line sites.

Also, Paul has been enjoying a fair amount of co-writing at home in Nashville with some very talented writers. The result so far has been a new song catalog of co-writes with PT Houston, as well as strong co-writes with JLan and Mike Broward. You can hear some of these at Ps Songs. Also, three Broward - Stephens co-write's ("Parrothead Rehab", "Floribama" and "Southern Girl") are included on the new Michael Broward CD.

**Year End Recap 2007**

A busy summer with Not Quite Nashville opening shows this summer for Webb Wilder (thanks Webb) in New York (legendary guitarist / producer Rick Derringer was also on the bill), St. Louis and Kansas City. NQN also performed in Nashville on the acclaimed "Western Beat" radio show hosted by my friend Billy Block (thanks for everything Billy!!!) and were honored to share the stage with new friends Trailer Choir. We send a big Holla out to Butter, Vinny Mac, Crystal and the rest of the guys on their recent tours opening for Toby Keith as well as their record deal with Toby's Show Dog label.

A big thank you to all the folks we met at our shows. We have had a blast opening for roots rock icons Gary Bennett (BR549), Webb Wilder, Brian Henneman (of the Bottlerockets), Bugs Henderson, Leon Russell, Rick Derringer and Unknown Hinson.

Finally, the Not Quite Nashville cd climbed the Americana charts up to #76 in the US and #23 in Belgium. A big thank you to all the dj's all over the country who have been playing our songs.

Jim Lauderdale and PS - Kansas City Show

Paul was lucky enough to play a solo acoustic show opening for Jim Lauderdale (thanks Jim). Jim is a heck of a nice guy and we had a great time.

Another big thank you for the folks at Belgium Internet Radio for voting Not Quite Nashville as #23 in their list of the top 100 CD's of 2006. Check out the complete list at American Music.

Out of Print - St. Louis independent label Adelaide / Stickhorse Records has released "Upstream Downstream: A Hurricane Katrina Benefit CD" which includes an unreleased NQN track, "Flirt"; in addition to unreleased tracks by Jay Farrar, Trailer Park Travolta's, Bob Rueter, Low Cycle Hum, Earl and many more.
